Terms of
Service
Last updated: 23 July 2026
Folio is in beta. These terms explain what it is (and what it isn’t) and the rules of the credit graph. They are a draft, pending legal review.
[ 01 ]
What Folio is
Folio is a discovery and networking tool for fashion creatives: profiles, collaborations and credits. It helps you find the people to work with and be found.
Folio is not an agency or a labor intermediary: we don’t select, place or manage engagements on anyone’s behalf. Any engagement, agreement or fee happens directly between people, off the platform.
[ 02 ]
What a credit means
A credit is the attribution of a contribution to a project (“styled this shoot”), confirmed by participants.
A credit is not ownership or a license of copyright or image rights, and it transfers no right to exploit the work commercially. Being credited means you contributed, not that you own or may use/publish the image: the rights stay with whoever holds them by law.
[ 03 ]
“Confirmed by participants”
A credit is verified by mutual attestation: someone credits you and you confirm. The badge reads “confirmed by participants”: it is a peer confirmation, not a truth certified by Folio. Folio does not guarantee the accuracy of what participants declare.
[ 04 ]
Rules of use
- Credit only real collaborations, with the actual role.
- No impersonation: don’t pose as someone else or credit falsely.
- No unlawful, harmful content, or content that infringes others’ rights.
[ 05 ]
Reporting and removal
Anyone can report a credit or a profile with “Report / not me” on the public page, even without an account (by leaving an email). If a credit concerns you, you can ask for its removal: we exclude it from public views and act on the request without undue delay. How we handle this data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
[ 06 ]
Beta and liability
The service is provided “as is” during the beta and may change. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for content published by users; we act on reports. Your mandatory rights as a consumer and regarding personal data remain unaffected.
